Designed to work with the beer line components and hardware included with the EdgeStar KC2000SS, this freestanding stainless steel refrigerator is the same one used to build the EdgeStar Kegerator. Representing EdgeStar's unique combination of style, innovation, and versatile application, this unit is great for your homemade kegerator project or for replacing the refrigerator unit of your EdgeStar kegerator.
UL listed, this keg refrigerator maintains a temperature range from 37 to 45° Fahrenheit and stores up to a full-sized half shell Sankey standard keg. The unit features a reversible door and casters for easy mobility.
Note: The refrigerator does not support the use of Coors or Miller rubberized kegs or other oversized kegs.

Great product for the price
After doing alot of research I decided on getting this kegerator-ready fridge. I just didn't want to hassle with pulling out the door shelves and searching for cooling lines etc. I'm pretty handy but knowing my luck, I'll destroy it somehow. I, however, went with another dual tap tower setup which was better quality than the Edgestar version. This way, I can customize the faucets, tower, etc. Keep in mind that if you went with another tower setup other than Edgestar, you'll have to drill 4 small holes and buy #10 bolts (depending on the holes on your tower# from Home Depot. I emailed Edgestar and they comfirmed that there's nothing around the tower so drilling is ok. Instructions and support was excellent with Edgestar. I plugged everything in and within an hour or so, I had fresh, cold tapped beer. My digital lab thermometer reads 37F at setting 5 #out of 6) so it's perfect.

Solid Fridge, Great Kegerator
I bought this fridge because I wanted to have two 5 gal corny kegs on draft at home. I wanted to get a fridge without a tower and accessories because I wanted a tower with Perlick 525SS in it (instead of stock), also I already had a CO2 tank and regulator therefore I didn't want to pay for the duplicate stuff I didn't need. I also didn't have time to convert a dorm room fridge, plus my Type-A personality wanted a cleaner look inside. Yes this will run you ~$100 more than a dorm fridge, but not having to deal with the interior shelves and what not made it worth it for me.
I was concerned about reviews regarding the temps being too warm. Preemptively, I emailed and asked for the directions to adjust the thermostat. They emailed me back detailed instructions on how to adjust it the same day. Secondly, I had to turn down the fridge as it froze my beer lines at the coldest setting, so it wasn't even a problem!

Cold homebrew!
I used to keep my keg in the garage but the temperature was never ideal. With the fridge the temperature is just perfect, I've been drinking a lot more! :)
It's great that it comes kegerator ready, I plan to add a double tap to it eventually. The fact that the gas tank is kept outside was a great plus to me.
It makes the regular fridge noise, but nothing like those old ones.

The only a la cart option - so far so good
So far I have been very happy with this kegerator/refrigerator. I wish there was slightly more space in there, but there is space for either a stanard 1/2 keg, or a commercial 1/6 and a corny keg. This is really the perfect option if you have some of the things for a kegerator, such as c02 and regulator, or if you have specific requests like a specific tap, or if you want to build your own, but are a little weary over is it safe to drill or not. The Co2 tank sits on the outside, which I like, but that is personal preference, the instructions were not that great, but downloading instructions for the other Edgestar models that include everything helped. Sure maybe I could have saved a little by converting a Sanyo refrigerator, but this already has the railing, caster wheels, a hole in the top for the tap, and reinforced top that can be drilled to support a double tap, and a hole in the rear for the co2 hose.

I have this unit. I have two questions. I use a dual regulator & have 2 CO2 lines of different pressure.1: Is it safe to drill a second CO2 line hole just above or below the one provided with the fridge.
2: Can I purchase a second CO2 line grommet to install in a second hole that I drill?
I hope moving the CO2 to the outside of the fridge will improve the cooling performance.

It is not suggested that you drill another CO2 hole, as the one that is already there should be sufficient. Unfortunately, we do not have a CO2 grommet. You can place the CO2 tank behind the unit.Details:
