TapRite Ball Lock Easy Keg Conversion Kit 4.2 5 5 5
Tap-Rite Ball Lock Easy Keg Conversion Kit Good instructions, makes it a snap to convert from keg to keg. March 8, 2013
Kegged Homebrew is Better The tap conversion kit is exactly what I was looking for. I brew my own beer and wanted to start kegging instead of hassling with bottles every time I brewed a batch. The only problem is that sankey couplers are the standard and homebrew kegs (Corny kegs) have the ball lock fittings. The instructions were pretty straightforward and the kit includes parts to modify a sankey D coupler to fit the beer and gas lines you've modified with the ball lock fittings. Basically you can use the lines for BOTH ball lock AND sankey kegs. Huge for me since sometimes I still buy kegs from the store (sankey tap required). Very happy with how it turned out. Great purchase however needed modification The conversion kits worked, after I had to modify the beer line. The included barbed spigots fit a 1/4" line and I needed a 1/8' barbed spigot. After two trips to Home Depot, I found the right parts, however the threads did not line up. So, in the end I just soaked the 1/8' beverage line in hot water and slipped it over the 1/4' spigot. It works, I hope it doesn't crack in the future. Other than that mis-match of sizes, this conversion kit worked perfectly. September 11, 2014
Good Company to work with! The conversion kit was easy to install. The kit is to change out the center mount Sankey keg coupler with a home brew coupler which has separate gas/in, beer/out couplers. One issue I ran into was the gas line and coupler line were different sizes. The CO2 line from the bottle was 3/8" and the coupling connection was 1/4". I had to go get a reducer and another hose clamp. The reducer was not supplied. Other than that it was great! January 23, 2014
